After many many hours of soloing Rocots in DF he decided to try that Famous exp place in Malmohus again. The trip was long and dangerous, a long walk to a place called H and then passing that small valley with Drakulv protectors to reach Lair. The first two attempt he died, even with his stealth he didnt make it to the other side but he was brave enough to try it again, and his third attempt was succesfull, he barely maked it to Lair but was happy he finaly reach it and was looking forward to the great exp gained by killing Protectors and Executeners. But more brave ones were waiting to be part of this massacre at Lair, but this Shadowblade was patient enough to wait for his chance to be in a group killing those Drakulvs. He waits and waits and waits...
After 5 days waiting on that hill looking to the Dragon and looking to all the brave ones who are lucky enough to been part in this slaughtering he is still waiting... Happyness is changed to saddness, what can he do?, waiting a few days more or return to DF to continue soloing Rocots? Waiting is no exp, soloing is very slow exp, he have to consider this... a few days longer... on the wait list...

Aye, the list is one of the main reasons i reluctant to seriously lvl another character to 50.

I've found that its far easier (if your willing to do it a few times) to wake up early and get in when the groups are forming, it certainly beats waiting on the list.


It certainly doesn't help that some list keepers tend to jump pure tanks ahead of SB's/hunters on the basis that their better for grouping with, when i did it i tried to be as fair as possible. But i've even heard of some people refusing to tell SB's the name of the LK. the whole point of the list system was to make it fair on all classes but sadly that isn't always the case

getting up early in the morning or being there while a second group forms is really the only option for sbs :/

one time out of maybe 20 i have gotten a group after waiting on the list.

I did list keeping pretty much the entire time I was at lair, and I have to say SB's were given a place in the list like everyone else. The only exceptions I made on the lists were when we needed a healer (as we couldn't xp without a healer or a shammy) and Runie/ PBT (and very occassionally a Skald for damage add if the group was struggling).

Other than that... I stick to the list dead on. Some people still ended up being on the list for hour after hour after hour. I actually liked the groups where we had a couple of SB's in group one though (with a chain tank or two to hold aggro)... dammit did those Draks drop with ease with the damage outpur of a SB/ zerker/ Warrior/ Skald setup dealin the damage/ holding aggro

If you can't get up early enough to join straight away, then get your name on the list and go xp at the entrance of malm or somewhere else and message the listkeepers every few hours (not every 10 mins like most did as it's damn annoying to try and kill whilst having /send Am I in yet? all day long).

Ask the listkeeper to make a note to give you a /send when you're no2 on the list so it gives you enough time to make the trip back to Malm. It sucks to wait, but at least you can claim some xp and get your spot in time.

Only real way to get in lair group as sb...get up real early. I'm talking 6am Gmt latest. Euro players get advantage of being 1-2hrs ahead of us uk types.

after tonights little lair trip i really dont mind sbs in my grp, why i think they might be better as taunters then big trolls who cant seem to hit the mobs on the first try. as long as u got pbt u should be fine, try to get into a pbaegroup much faster then normal lairpulling. But then again if you can get people to forget about root/mez and just stun and let the aespells do the work then you might get 50 soon =)

thing is in pbaegroups tanks are there for aggro not damage output, so i sb should be great there.

pfft, I take three hits and i'm dead,

gotta do garrotte to make sure i'm hitting on first swing cos i'm 2h spec, and so without pbt, i may as well sit in hug giving cash randomly to the healer

think evade is gonna be my next buy for RA although i got me cave shammy's buffs and they help a bit (ie more than 1k hp and also nice load of dex/qui)

shame it can't be semi pvp in RvR ie you got option to take RPs or XP for your kills

hehe well when we did it we had a healer trowing astuns so with high dex and dodger 3 a sb in my grp hardly ever got hit. i really dont know how much a sb evades but with aestun they should be able to get the job done. trick is to get a pachealer then ur pretty safe and that pbt but when u have both sbs rock in pbaegroups. just makes me sad seeing people sitting and waiting on that hillside
