3 days left before this thing ends, I get paid and I can go home and have a nice long shower and play some damn games!

I KNEW somebody loved me!

No messenger yet but I will install it at some point. The sattelite system that we are using is very iffy and the bandwidth is limited. If more than 2 people are on the network then the system grinds to a halt. To top it all off, the bloody gateway is dropping traffic all the time and we don't know why!! Basically, we are trying to stop people from downloading anything, looking at flash animations, breathing, using chat rooms and playing games...a concept they haven't managed to grasp yet.

I think I will make a big sign which explains what 'bandwidth' is and why we need it...and another sign which highlights my policy of 'Check your e-mails and then get the fuuuuuuuck outta here please!! '.

3 more days before I can use a real computer. These buggers are equipped with crappy keyboards and 16 bit colour monitors. *cry*

Nope. We are using a caching server which basically stores all...well, you know what a caching server does. Anyway, it is running on a linux box which was set up in a hurry so we haven't been able to install any blocks on it and the thing is so delicate that we decided to just let it run in peace.

At the moment we are just using the basic IE security settings to stop people from doing anything that we don't want them to. Its working for the most part...there are just some annoying kids from across the pond who don't seem to realise that maybe, just MAYBE those settings were put in place for a reason.
