Runican takes on a feral aura.

He wasn't sitting down, buffs can only be cast while standing up. He has no evadebuff or melee resistbuff up tho, which would explain both the very high damage and the absense of evade.

As the the comparison, Savages have Determinatio, VWs don't. Case closed.

obviosly he was not buffed at this moment, or he was already hurt in some way, cuz the VW "only" did 1705 dmg and a fully buffed savage have more then that
