There's a BETA Wicked3d OpenGL available that now supports Tribes2. The beta testing is open so if you're a Voodoo2/3/4/5 user download the driver and forward any comments or bug reports to support@wicked3d.com with a subject line of WickedGL Beta.

You can download the BETA driver from http://www.wicked3d.com/downloads/wickedgl/wgl_beta.exe . I've also added the link to the Display and OpenGL Drivers section for future reference - http://ucguides.savageuniverse.com/Tribes2/displaydrivers.htm

Wow

Stop reading this.
Go get the drivers.

My god, they are so good! Haven't tried them with CS yet, but if I get the same upgrade I'll be exstatic :D

I can play in 800x600, with most of the settings on full with no real framerate loss during firefights, on a VooDoo3!

Go get them, while I try CS.

Good to hear you're having positive results =)

You might also benefit from the new options available in the Tribes2 22755 patch. Specifically the 'Particle Density' setting which is a cause of slowdown for Voodoo cards in particular. The Framerate and Visual Tweaks section has been updated to reflect changes in 22755 - http://ucguides.savageuniverse.com/Tribes2/FPS_visuals.htm
