November 10th, my 3G contract expires mid-Feb, so thats plenty of time for me to debate a change.

If voda/oranges 3G offerings are any good, I'll probably change. 3 is quite good, but it still drops calls when you leave 3G coverage and enter 2G areas, whereas voda/oranges systems allow a seamless transistion.

Orange do something called the OVP or Orange Value Promise. It's a scheme by which they will match and UK tarrif. So if you went for O you'd be able to get your existing bargain three tariff with none of their first-gen 3g hangups.

We just got a 3G system started in Norway today or a few days ago. Will be fun to see how it works. :) Any pros/cons? :)

pros: better capacity, speeds, more content etc
cons: early takeup = high cost, battery life, phone size

Seem to have more downtime and network blackouts than the others though; especially in London.

Well, Voda 3G has been performing flawlessly for me. I'm very impressed. Not a single dropped call.

The only niggle I have is that the voicemail keeps being too friendly and offering all kinds of bullshit advice that I don't want, and I don't seem to be able to get rid of it.
