Its quite odd that Google should choose to buy, rather than code, a weblog engine; its patently obvious then that they've only purchased it for the brand name its associated with, because there's plenty of better ways to integrate features that don't involve buying new things and strapping them on.

I also wonder whether it will remain as is (most likely), or whether it will go towards furthering the google websearch.
