anyone know if its possible to dl a trial version? cos im thinking of buyin it but i aint forkin out 70quid for something like an OS without trying it anyone got any hints for me plz much appreciated

Not sure you can get a trial version but you could borrow a mates and install it run though activation period. You can download a virtal hard disk with a trial installed if that will let you see what you need to.

soze is right, just find someone who has a Vista disc (a retail version, not an OEM copy) and then install it. Do not try to activate it, just install and enjoy using it. If you search around, there's a hack that allows the 'trial' to last for 120 days, but it shouldn't take you four months to decide if you want Vista or not
