So when i installed vista 64 i had made a backup of my old Machine with Acronis True Image

After restoring it and getting all i needed i had problems deleting the directory as i didnt have permission to do so

After a while i found and added the 'Take Ownership' option to the shell and could then delete all the files except the 2 shown.

any ideas how to delete them?

Is the folder shared?
Your sharing permissions might be set to read only or something...
Or try the take ownership option on the entire drive instead of the folder.

Run a vista command prompt as Admin and try deleting, explorer sometimes stops you doing shit and it might be an explorer->iexplore hook in problem
