Visa requirements for visiting the USA

I hope someone may be able to offer me some advice on this subject. Someone who knows what they are on about please.

Ithinking of a visit to the USA soon, however I suspect I may have to get a visa. I have 3 criminal convictions, which I think the yanks would called felonies. They are, mind you, best part of 25 years old.

Does anyone know what I would have to do in these circumstances? Cheers

Probably best to speak with comeone in authority for official confirmation, when I went all I had to do was register for a visa waiver but I have a friend who did actually have to register for a visa because of a criminal record (which he got on duty as a police officer lol). The only thing that might effect your options is the length of time for you criminal record.

Because of the criminal conviction you don't qualify for the Visa Wavier Program so you will have to get a Visa.

The link Munkey gave is good, just follow the instructions. You will probably have to go to the US embassy for an interview at some point.

Wait, so according to that link if you've ever been arrested but never been convicted you still have to declare it?

If in doubt, call the US embassy in London. With visa applications, especially for the USA, its always better to be safe than sorry.

You don't want to be turned away at the airport or, worse, be arrested.
