virus???????????

since yesterday anytime i press my spacebar a new "mozilla firefox" window opens.
i have my home page as blank so cant tell if it is trying to load up a website.
it started happening while i was in-game and farming immo ring, is it possible i was sent sumthing while i was playing... undetected ???
i have XP fully updated at all times and malware/spyware removers and a firewall
so i dont usually get stuff like this and all my pc scans didnt show anything new.
i checked msconfig also and nothing there....and i checked "Startup Organizer"....nothing!

any suggestions ??

i just cannot play daoc til i sort it coz it is annoying!!!...and unplayable

I think you have a virus as well. It turns the mild mannered doc wolfe we know and love into a fifty year old anal retentive english teacher

Chances are it is not a virus. Do you have a microsoft keyboard that has a 'open internet explorer' button? Its possible it is faulty now or the settings have been altered. If it is the settings you can look at the keyboard settings in control panel for any anomalies. I take it you have tried rebooting the PC?

ye ofc i rebooted i scaned pc and rebooted again...so culd be faulty keyboard.
ty ballard, i will try a new keyboard maybe coz wen i checked to see if a shortkey changed to spacebar i didnt find anything unusal
