Hmm out of interest is the W32Bugbear.B@mm virus particularly prevalent at the moment.

Apart from (I assume) false alerts on Barrys on Gameplay emails I havent been sent a virus bef and now twice in a week Ive had a report that Barrys has intercepted this being sent to me (from different addresses)

Yes, due to the isp we use at work being a bunch of lamers, I recently found we had bugbear@mm, bugbear.b@mm and hooker.dll on the PC at work!!!! And it sent out copies of potentially sensitive emails to all and sundry from our address book, complete with viral attatchments!!!!

Luckily the PC concerned is only connected to the internet for a few minutes each day, so the effect was minimal. And a quick dose of McAfee sorted it! - had my boss worried for a while though!

Suitable punishements for virus creators anyone? Would birching be too harsh?

Bugbear-B was/is very prevelant and rated pretty annoying by AV peeps.
Check out Sophos or similar for details.

(In fact it was so prevelant that when it first hit about a week or so back sophos had to remove the graphics from their webby due to the amount of hits it was getting :( )
