OK, i use outlook. not outlook express, but ms outlook.

I've noticed its 'sending' emails even tho theres nothing in the outbox, and nothing even written in a half finished email. I always thought this mighta been a bug in the send/recieve process.

One of the people i wanted to email has some spam protection thing, and i emailed them and they mailed back saying that they dont accept email from spammers. So now im thinking, 'EH?'. Maybe outlook is actually sending people emails from me?

WTF is it sending?

i checked for viruses, none found.
it used to do this before i formatted too, so formatting didnt help.

err, any ideas anyone?

//errr im shit at explaining things so like ask me questions if u was just baffled by me :)

Check your email tracking options. If you have it set to automagically send a "Read Reciept" to emails that ask for them, then is likely what is being sent off :)

I don't have Outlook in front of me here, but it'll be hidden in them thar options somewhere :)

Outlook:

Tools -> Options -> Email Options -> Tracking Options

you can request read receipts here, and also check if you are sending them (I think the default is on).
