I got this particularly nasty virus through my e-mail today, the resubscription to Norton AV has proved its worth already by picking it up.

That's the very same virus that was attached to a file the secretary here opened. It's reasonably recent one and our virus checker really should have been kept up to date.

Anyway. I cleaned her computer of the virus but it's fooked it over quite a bit. It's running now but limping severely.

Nasty bastard.

You can go someway to avoiding this if you update all of windows critcal updates.

Yeah I brought this up because (a) its recent and even if you updated your scanner last week it may not be in the signature file and (b) its really nasty.
