past two nights ive had the craziest violent dreams.

first one:
walking down a canal type thing with a friend i knew when i was young, didnt seem like england though. got jumped by two people and one had a gun. so they made us jump on the ground. then 2 more people appeared (one appeared to be enimen(!)) and batterd them. but then they turned on us so we had to run, except we ran over water like jebus did back in the old days. then we arrived at an old broken building where some guy grabbed me. well at this canal place i happend to pick up some kind of metal dealy out of a big tub of metal dealys. so i got to work on stabing him with it and then my friend jumped out. my friend then started beating the shit out of the guy with a metal pole till he was dead.

second one:
this one was last night and it was totally freaking weird. there was some kind of monster thing that spawned in peoples bathrooms. if it bit you then you would gradually turn into one. the only place that didnt seem to be infected was my step grand mothers house. well anyway, i got wind of this problem and started packing up my swords and my gun. thing is, my mother had happend to be infected and i could tell she was changing. she wanted me to leave for my step grandmothers house so she didnt attack me. before i left i was contemplating shooting her in the head but for some reason i didnt.

the next parts im hazy on the order of them. i think though this was the order.

i ended up in a big building that looked like something from silent hill, only it wasnt pitch black. all over the place was blood splatters and stuff, and many of these monsters locked in cages. i was being escorted round by this guy who looked real tough. so anyway for some reason i went in the bathroom and one of these monster things came out of the bath tub (i did something here but dont remember what exactly).
then i re-appeared in my step grandmothers house and every other house there was empty. after i got in the house and the doors locked up etc i heard something in the loft, and my stepgrandmother was like "there is one trapped up there". and i thought why did they send me knowing there is a monster here!

then i woke up.

i remember someone here knew about interpreting dreams. hopefully i can find out what they mean! and maybe entertain someone with the twisted shit we call dreams.

first dream :

Canal : As a general guide this dream pertains to future security, and if the canal was full, the portent is good; if it was empty or nearly so, or there were weeds to be seen, there is a suggestionto cut your extravagance.

dinner time !

back !

Killing: To dream of being a witness to a killing portends a chjange which will not be entirely to your liking.

Thats about all I can reckonise form the first one.

Second:

the second one is quite strange. You havn't said anything really distinguished about it.

Kidnap: If you were kidnapped in your dream, you are likely to be embarrassed by the company you have been keeping; A change of companions would probably be beneficial.

Pack: Any form of packing is an omen of contrary; you can expect a period of plodding along a familiar rut.

Grandparents: In a dream are a symbol of protection and security. (explaines why you went to your grandparents in your dream.)

Thats about as much as I interprited from your discription. If you want you can write in detail a PM to me and i'll try to translate some more for you.

I don't understand why it takes a scary dream to make you realise what youor doing in your life though !

thanks haggus for all that. i would write it in more detail but thats all i can remember.
do you know why in a dream that if you try and do a violent act on somebody, you never can? i should of said in the first one "i tryed to stab him, but when is swung it was like i had no strength or energy".

do you know specifically what that could indicate or is it common for everyone?

I don't know, I've tried to hit somone in a dream but I kept missing him. I have no idea why this is.

If you had a fight with him the basic meaning is for change. And if you look at kidnap it would make sence.

Where you in control of your dream? In control of your actions or did you just watch it like you were looking through someones eyes ?

sometimes i was looking through my eyes and sometimes it was 3rd person. even though in fps mode i couldnt control it. although ive had plenty of dreams where i could. mainly before i reached the age of 17 or so. even then i couldnt physically attack someone with enough force to do anything.

Fighting in dreams always feels like fighting underwater ..

Though I have had 1 or 2 dreams -but only 1 or 2 I can remember in my whole life, where I have actually pwned in me dreams which kinda surprised me as usually like was mentioned before you can't normally cant seem to lay a finger on someone in a dream.

That could mean you have agressions you bottle up inside. And you can't seem to get rid of them in any acceptable way. Represented by the actually missing part. Maybe you want to get rid of your anger, but something or someone is keeping you from it.
It could also mean that you at the time felt that all your efforts got you nowhere. Might be you were frustrated with the results you got in some part of your life.
Lastly, you might have tried to change an aspect of yourself you felt didn't serve you. But found it to be harder than you expected to change it.

I sometimes know that it's a dream while I'm dreaming... I've tried to take advantage of that. ;)

The other night I dreamt I saw this really sexy girl and I knew I was dreaming, so I thought "What the hell, I think I'll rape that girl... after all, this is just a dream!"
So I did. Well I started to, but before I got very far I woke up. That pissed me off a bit.

Guess I'm a bit psycho or something hehe. :drink:

i dont think its psycho to dream or have fantasys about that stuff. its when you make reality that a problem will arise.

you can fantasise and dream about what ever the hell you like.

if you had these dreams and had never watched a horror movie or played a violent game then you might wonder as to what causes them but you nailed it right in your first line, if you watch horror movies or play violent games all the time your brain is going to use them as a way to show your dreams so dont worry :) .

something i've always wondered is do blind people dream, can they see in their dreams and can they see colours? this is especially interesting if they have been blind from birth and have never seen a colour irl before.

If they weren't born blind. Some still dream in pictures.
But people who was born blind, dream in sounds and even smells instead.

I get that thing about trying to hit somebody, but can't cause my hands/arms seems really "weak" like it is slowmotion, all the freaking time... It is come to the extend now, that when I ride the bus I start thinking about if I should jump somebody just to see if I would do better IRL - Perhaps it has just been to long since ive been in a proper fist fight?

Around the time my grandfather died I keept having this dream, about him and I walking over a bridge but we couldnt pass it cause death wouldnt let us... Not like I were afraid of death, like I am afrid of some of the other freaky stuff I dream about, more like he bothered me and wouldnt listen to us.

Also I got this feeling just before falling a sleep, that the entire room begins to grow and I get really little and I can feel my arms lift from the bed and I start to hover around in the room. I feel all empty like this place is the only thing left in the world and nothing else can enter it.
Ive had insomnia in some extend, and ended up druged on pills to get into a normal sleep rhytm, untill my dad told me to smoke weed. Did that for a few months and it helped me so much that I don't need it anymore.

I really do enjoy dreaming, I enjoy being in this place - with both good and bad things, but always knowing nothing will happen to me, nothing can hurt me nor kill me. So I always push it to the extream, trying to dare myself to jump from a roof just to prove that I am sleeping; Just waiting for the day I am no longer dreaming and all this shit will happen to me in real life and nothing will save me and I wont ever wake up again...

Actually there are techniques and excersices you can use to learn to control your dreams, so that you can consciously dictate what will happen in them etc. I tried to learn some of it years ago but its pretty hard, only got to the first stage where you have to be aware of the moment you fall asleep so your consciousness is still active, then you are supposed to visualize your hands as a symbol for affecting your surroundings etc. The few times i got to that stage i could affect small things and was definetly aware that i was dreaming, but due to lack of dicipline i never got very far with it. Also, you dont get any refreshment out of that kind of sleep (its probably more a form of selfhypnosis than sleep) and spending a night like that will make you feel exhausted in the morning.

Using dreamcontrol to visualize criminal or very amorale acts would likely not be good for you though, as its so real for you that you would likely suffer trauma from it. Also i believe our basic morals reside in our subconscious, and not in the conscious, so the reason you woke up when trying to affect a rape was likely because you knew deep down that it was wrong and your mind reacted with feelings of stress that woke you up.

hehehe :p
People do funny things in their sleep. Some people go to their kitchen and make themselfs a sandwich eat it and go back to bed without remembering. Some actually get up and starts to work on something they didn't finnish while they were awake. like fixing stuff around the house. This happens mostly if you are in deep Non-REM sleep, it has something to do with your brainwaves being larger at this "architecture" state. Not uncommon :)

Fascinating stuff there really, would be awesome to try develop control of dreams.

I have not been dreaming regulary, some periods of life I dream and others I dont. No idea why. Have had some pretty wierd dreams lately.

Generally i enjoy my dreams im not sure i'd want to control them tbh that'd be a bit like watching a movie you've written. The other day i had a dream i was travelling and photographing great white sharks it was so exciting and i woke up feeling really good.

However some of my nightmares are bloody horrible but im pretty sure i have them for a reason, for example years ago when i was with my x bf he seemed really nice but i kept having really horrible dreams about him and i'd dismiss them as being "just dreams" never again tbh. It was my sub concious picking up little things about him that my waking self ignored and he turned out to be just as bad as my dreams had warned me.

So if you control your dreams you might be editing out really important warnings.
