Apparently she won an award last night for "Woman of the Year"
(Victoria Beckham is Glamour's 'woman of the year' | 24dash.com - Showbiz & Slap Dash)

Has there ever been a women less deserving of such a title ?

She has successfully reinvented herself from pop star to devoted wife and mother, to successful designer and business mogul.

Utter bollocks !

Pop star ! Pah ! The woman has no musical talent whatsoever, and her solo career flopped.

Devoted wife - Of that I've no doubt. David's money buys a lotta love.

Devote mother. Absolutely. But why should that make her mother of the year. What mother isn't devoted to their children ?

Business mogul ? LOL. All she knows is how to spend David's cash.

Successfully reinvented herself ? How ? Into what ? An even more incipid, greedy, egotistical lobotomised snob ? And who is she to give diet advice ? She's so painfully thin she looks like a bycicle with lipstick.

Such a load of bollocks.

I personally don't know her. (Unfortunatly) But i reckon she gives just as much effort into mothering her children as, say, my mother, your mother, most peoples mothers do!

Well, usually i love these threads... i tend to wave at them as they pass by. But i bet you only hate that woman because she has cash(had before that beck fellow) and because she was a pop star. Otherwise you wouldn't give a f*ck.

They didn't have anyone better this year perhaps?

5 second search on google...

wikepedia said:
In 2000 Victoria Beckham made a guest appearance on the catwalk for Maria Grachvogel.[13]

In 2004 Victoria designed a fashion line for Rock and Republic called 'VB Rocks,' consisting mainly of jeans for the high end of the market (retailing at approximately $300 in the U.S.). She has also worked on a range of women's clothes including shirts and skirts. The clothing features a logo of a crown with the letters "VB". In September 2006, Beckham stopped working with Rock and Republic to launch her own jeans label. The new line of Victoria's jeans collection is called DVB Style.[14]

Beckham was briefly the face of Rocawear, and has for or a number of years produced a range of handbags and jewellery in association with the Japanese store Samantha Thavasa. In July 2006, Victoria Beckham released a line of sunglasses (which she had been seen wearing at the World Cup games). In September 2006 'Intimately Beckham', a his and her fragrance line in association with Coty the world's largest fragrance house was launched.

On February 28, 2007 Victoria announced that she is working on a reality show that will document her move from London to Los Angeles. The show will be called "The Beckhams are moving to America". She signed a deal with NBC for six episodes of a half-hour unscripted reality tv series. The series, which may air as early as this summer, will be produced by Simon Fuller.[15] On June 5, 2007 she won in London 2 Glamour Awards: one for Woman of the year and another for Entrepreneur of the Year (for her fashion achievements)

Her autobiography, entitled Learning to Fly,[16] (the title was taken from a line in a song from the musical Fame, which Victoria adored as a child). The book was the 3rd best selling non-fiction title of 2001 (total UK sales stand at more than 500,000 copies), and has been translated into several languages.[citation needed]

Victoria is widely believed to have told a Spanish journalist in 2005 that "I've never read a book in my life".[17] Although often used to criticise and ridicule Victoria, this 'quote' was actually a mistranslation from the original Spanish in which the interview was printed - she actually stated she never had time to finish reading a book because she was always running around after her children.[18]

Her second book, a fashion book titled That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything In Between,[19] was published on October 30, 2006. It was co-written by Hadley Freeman, deputy fashion editor of the Guardian and a contributing editor of Vogue and includes photography by Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz and Steven Meisel.

On the Sunday Times Book Charts, the book stood at # 2.

Dont know her, dont follow what she does but from the above it also doesnt look like she is sponging off anyone tbh

its all utter bollocks you cant be a lord unless invited or born into

In scotland you can be a laird (which translates to land owner) so that term i am a laird of scotland because i own land up there

That means anyone who has bought a house/land to build a house is also called a laird
