So why would anyone play a monk? :eek7:

Their class description is deceiving! :p

You can chose three difference stances are level 15 though, I went for Dragon-stance, the "DPS" line, funny how I'm still (though don't play that char anymore) the bottom of the DPS chart. Another stance is Harmonious, which has decent group utility and would actually be useful, but Monks are described as the top melee DPS class, I was expecting them to be similar to DAoC merc's only without the chain & swords. :p Before our nerf we could overDPS a couple of classes atleast (the gimped Rogue, Bard, noob Rangers, DK's, Warriors, etc)

Class balance is an issue, especially the heal value in PvP, but the game hasn't been out long, and the PvP ideas for the future sound really promising. I like to PvP on my Psi though, it's fun. :)

Battleship combat (personal boats/ships are already implemented I believe, just no one has one yet), ie. with cannons on the sides, as well as flying mount combat & horseback combat :) There were a few others too but I can't remember what they were, oh yeah there's going to be an Island somewhere which can be captured and built up/defended and not instanced.

There's an Interview with one of the DEVs somewhere explainining their plans for pvp ^^

Every single game that put in PvP as an afterthought has sucked donkey balls so far.

It just doesn't work :(

they do have some very nice plans for the future, but I'll give the game 2-3 months to see if it's worth it by then

I'm playing for the PvE anyway, but as I said before the PvP is still fun you just have to avoid healers at the moment since their heal value in PvP is insane.

Nah but because of all the bugs atm, and the class balance, and the shitty rewards =<

Ti´s inhumanly hard to level up, other than doing quests whic is slow as it is. I mean, i tried to grind at level 14 to 15. Its really, not humane. And think about level 40+... nonexistant. Wish there were some úber exploit, level / crafting bot or something to make the pain go away !!!!!

Account canceled. I tried I really did. But seeing the PAIN and the timesink of this MMO made me realize how easypeasey Eve really is. I'll be trying that for a while then.

Most of us enjoy levelling in Vanguard, and it doesn't feel like the "grind" of other MMO's, if you're already bored at 14, it's not the game for you.

It is quite abit of grinding though :)

I haven't had the time to play it much, but from what I've played (lots of chars closing in to 10) it seems to be a bit of grinding.

Yeah but they have always said the path to level 50 will be a big part of the game, and personally I like that.

There's a lot of different things you can do whilst levelling up to 50 if you get bored of the "grind", there's many quests to do, there's the unique crafting system which even I like, and I didn't like crafting in any other MMO. There's also Diplomacy, I've heard it's good but I've not yet tried it. I'm currently going through a questline in Infineum Mines for a Legendary Weapon (need like 7 more levels 'til I can complete it, though) and it's a lot of fun with my guild, even the storyline is excellent, something that you rarely see in an mmorpg.
