I hope Haye wins just because he's a brit and I'd Love to see him knock out that ugly mofo. But that guy sure looks huge, I just dont want to see on the news next day Haye is battling for his life in a hospital :(

Sorry as much as I would like to say Haye, speed is not enough, the size, weight and reach advantage is just too much.

It might just be bad youtube clips but the Russian does not look like much of a boxer to me just throws monster punches and has immense reach. So you would think a decent boxer who can work his way inside his jab should be able to do a job on him. Also it seemed like Evander had him beaten tbh dunno why the judges said he lost.

Im a boxing novice at best so im prolly talking out of my arse

Much of what you say is right but the big problem for Haye is that he is a cruiserweight who has moved up a weight and he is one of the lightest guys in the heavyweight division. Valuev is a super heavyweight, infact at 23 stone they need to invent a new division for him. :D

A punch from a 7ft 2in 23 stone guy is immense, he only needs to catch Haye with one good shot and it is all over. Haye on the other hand has almost no chance of knocking Valuev out, the best he can do is try to work him hard till he runs out of gas but that is alot of minutes for him to avoid the one good punch that Valuev needs to land. Don't get me wrong, I would like to see Haye win but I am finding it very hard to see how he can manage it.

He needs to punch his elbows to tire his arms then try and score some points. All the while avoiding getting hit.

He doesn't stand much of a chance really but I would like to think he knows what he is doing :)

I guess it´s physically extremely difficult to knock someone out when the target is so high above your head/shoulders, simply because the swing is losing way too much force on the way up. I don´t like Valuev, simply because he´s not a boxer but is all "body". There´s no skill involved in his boxing, although compared to his earlier fights, he´s slowly getting better. This is going to be a tough one for Haye.

You are right m8, Holyfield at 40+ was all over him. Also the only guy to beat Valuev is Chagaev who is smaller then Haye. So size means shit.

Haye has too much speed for Valuev and as many of the experts have said Valuev has never been in a ring with a guy like Haye.

Haye will win by TKO in 10th.

Nah he isnt doing enough to win each round, hes getting better hits in but not hitting or being as aggresive as Valuev. Haye has speed and a big old punch on him, would be interesting to see if Haye landed a big one if Valuev has a chin on him.

The Russian clears his head but another two-punch combination rocks the giant Russian. He's literally one punch away from being felled, but Haye cannot find the winning shot. Valuev holds on and final bell goes. It's going to the judges scorecards.

From the BBC live commentary thing, sounds like a good final round shame he couldnt finish him off.

Shows what I know about boxing eh?

Well done David Haye, had him rocking in the final round, thought he was going to knock him out at one point!

I doubted him too but I am delighted I was proven wrong. :D

Just told Sky he hurt his right hand in round two or three, so he had to change his plan.

He proved he could rock the guy in the final round, he prepared well and he deserved it!!!!

Interesting fight. Haye did extremely well and he managed to expose Valuevs biggest weakness: that he´s not a boxer. All in all, a deserved win.
