Keep any similarly boxed/tubed medicines and/or creams apart.

Some twat sat in front of this very computer has just applied TCP cream to an ulcer in his mouth.
Bonjella stings a tad, but at least it tastes nice.
TCP stings a FUCKING LOT and tastes - well, I can't describe how badly it tastes :/

Cheers Kryt. Mum, Nan and I just had a good laugh at your expense.

Well. Nan laughed at you until we reminded her she once mistook deep heat for her piles cream. You do the math.

Just had laser eye surgery and had to put drops in his eyes.

lifted the wrong container and squirted his sons lotion for earache into his eyes. Quick rush to A&E

Ohhh! This reminds me of a mate who was getting a bit too friendly with some bird at a party - his wife gave his crown jewels a deep heat massage whilst he slept....

Have a friend who uses lotion "down there"? Some do, honestly!

Well, no worries, crab the lotion bottle and change the innards to a muscle relaxant cream.

Fun, ensues.

A friend....yeah....whatever you say Tohto....

When there's medical need, yes. Soles of your feet ain't the only place where dry skin can be a problem. Not like i moisturize there every day :D

Drink plenty of water kids ;)

lol aye, deep heat is a classic.
Friend of mine had a fairly severe backache a few years ago - rummaged around in my father's medicine cabinet and found him some Fiery Jack. It's very similar to Deep Heat, just much, much "hotter".
On it goes, it does the trick very very quick, so he's suitably impressed.
He tries a bit on his sore knee on his own. Finishes off, and on the way to wash his hands, itches his nose. Then an elbow, Then gives down there a scratch, then finally rubs his eyes a bit.
Gets to the sink and the pain suddenly hits....
I was next door at the time and heard his scream through the wall. That was also a rather quick dash to A&E :/

I remember back in '99 (nam to you young'uns) spraying Boots *kids strength* mossie spray on my arms. During the night i must have ran my arm across my eyes - woke up in complete agony and no end of rinsing could stop the pain, utter utter pain.

And that was kiddie strength !

Is TCP on mouth ulcers all that bad?

My parents always used to get me to put salt on mouth ulcers and that stings a bit but it definately gets rid of them nice and quickly :) If TCP is better then I'd go for that though tbh.

Much rather have a sting for a few minutes than an annoying ache ruining my food :(

It seems to have worked, oddly enough. It's not going to be that bad no, but we all know what it's like on an open wound/deep graze or scratch, and the tongue is just so much more sensitive :D
I think the taste exasperates the sting.

I once heard a story of a lad with sunburn who asked for some aftersun lotion and was given imac (or veet or whatever) for a joke. I cannot imagine the pain that would cause.
