Valks climbing in midgard!

With the patch 1.84 going on over the oceans and with the introduction on the third ML line (which obviusly will be Banelord for Valks), will the Zerk groups change to valks for todays RvR?

Today zerkers play mostly as interupters with thier banelordsthese. If they run too far, they'll get nuked to death. Because of this, most run to one target - hit it once - then turn back to their group. It's about the interupt. But from my point of view a Valkyrie with Det5, Charge3 and banelord can do they job alot better. Now add their new abilities, group IP (insta group heals etc). Will we see valks rather then zerkers in the future? Or will the zerker DPS still be more wanted then extra interupt?


(or will this be a hidden comback for our lonesome savages that we've almost forgoten, who will probebly also get banelord abilities?)

As a big fan of the valkyrie, that all depends. will our point system be affected, how the best specs are ect. Cause my valk > zerker in a fight(maybe when he goes zerkmode i might go down) As i hit harder with my spear then a zerker. So it will depend how a valk has to spec.

U could even say if u wanted a defensive group specced valk to go high odins/mend and go for parry/shield. Or go offensive and take sword/spear instead of parry/shield.

Dont forget valks have in their oding natural interupt spels and buffshears as well. Valks are gone be a great class with the right spec and the right template.(To say i just respecced my valk for 100+P and its as perfect as it can get, and now will have to respec when i have more details)

Somehow I doubt that valks will get banelord - jsut imagine the amount of interrupts we would have then ...

(ii)pulse cone
(iii)insta cone
(iv)cone snare
(v)cone shear
(vi)insta single dd
(vii)aoe dd styles from spear line
(viii)Actully hitting things to interrupt

Would be nice to get all that , but somehow I can see us getting perfector due to the new line being a heal line.

I just can't wait to get my account back up so i can /who valkyrie and see if there is more than the usual 2/3 ones and to see how many are in mod

My personal thoughts are that ppl will roll valks , valks will be fotm, ppl will whine about op valks , heal line will be nerfed , we will be back to square one without evaid!

Can't edit last post , instead of perfector I can see Valkyries getting access to battlemaster as they mythically guarded/guided the spirits of the dead to valhalla afaik

Agree with raid, a banelord nerf would basically kill anything other than caster groups on the server. It's kinda horsehit atm with melee lag, circle strafing, PD, soldiers baracade, BoF, Warguard, Malice and all the other toys - and caster group vs caster group would be such fun.

Still could be long fights though, both groups trying to kite each other should result in no deaths as they run in the opposite directions.

Valk isn't better in duel than zerker vav remember when we dueled (while waiting for late comers in DR) in west skona? my zerker killed your valkyrie hands down (yes I know you got new shiny template now, but I seriously doubt it won't make that much difference still - we can always duel again, if you want a rematch)

They will be good with the right template yes for a start they get con from level if i'm correct which means they'll have nice hp.. soon will have heals/magic ablative... only downside i see to valks that will never change is they CANNOT front load like zerkers can no way at all can they drop 800+ a hit thats teh only flaw i see in valks even with the new patch their groupability will be questionable

Having banelord on my vamp, I can only agree. It is such an impressive line
