Hello all,

I made a Valewalker and i have read alot of thing about em.
But im stuck on what a good spec would be.
I was thinking of going for 50 Scythe 39 AP and 18 parry.
This is the most optimal spec for using all your points.
If you have better suggestions i would very much like to hear them.

From what I have seen the 50Scythe move is at the end of a 4-Chain. I cant see that working in rvr much, so I would be tempted to keep sythe to 39 or something. Its a lot of spec points to get to 50 in a skill...

Almost all the VW's I talk to seem to be under the impression that their class is going to be magically 'tweaked' in a future patch.

I'm probably going 44 scythe for the 3rd style in the parry chain as for arboreal and parry haven't decided yet but most likely 38 arboreal and the rest in parry

50 scythe , 34 aboreal , 26 parry... Dzadi want that spec... ( my spec )...

over 34 aboreal is 99% worthless... i mean u get abit better insta DoT yea.. and it still dont give anything in dmg its only to interupt with.... u get haste.. yea... its about as good as druid's anyway... so... there's also 1 better ablative selfbuff at L43 aboreal but that alone aint worth it at all and the 2nd best is almost as good...
ur right about the L50 style isnt much needed but atleast it increase ur scythe dmg... aboreal ofc also increase lifetap dmg but its rare u really use that and i would prefer the scythe dmg...

You need as much weaponskill as possible, so less than 50 scythe is out of the question imo (can you say *whiff* :) )

Diminishing returns above 50 spec, with SC youll need like 39 scythe to reach 50 Scythe without an rrs. Is it really worth it to end with 64Scythe instead of 50?

well given parry's current state that can be kept fairly low imho. As for weapon spec I would suggest nothing less than 50 - weaponskill is king - vw's are plagued by misses - more weapon skill the better etc.

for a VW, yes. with no good anytime styles for melee youll miss around half your attacks at 50.
just read VWhine boards

Wrong......

Druid haste is 19%........... 38 Arb haste is 34%

I wouldent go below 38Arb, and i think there will be bchanges to the VW so arb will be more usefull, but atm dont really go higher than 38 Arb as well.

But the 38 Haste is v nice

I'm 50 scythe 38 arb 20 parry.

Works like a charm. The only thing I'd consider changing was lowering scythe to 44 and beef my parry abit, but seing as i dont parry alot I'm fine with the spec I have.

As to the 50 spec style, it's nice but nothing great really. The lack of a decent anytime style, however, means that being able to pull 4 styles off - while not having the chain interrupted - helps your damage alot. And as for the evade requirement then dont worry, you'll be mistaken for a mage loads and get hacked at, leaving lotsa chances for an evade chain :).
