Valewalker, BG and final spec

Any suggestions please?

For BG, I was thinking of 21 Scythe, 8 parry, 18 Arborial Path.

If I actually bother to fully spec I was thinking to go for 50 Scythe but no idea what the best split between Arborial Path and Parry would be, since the VW seems to depend on parry a lot.

This is the first tank-ish type char I've found that I like. Lots of options and nasty tricks up sleeve... my kind of thing

Will be a long time making char though, my online time is very limited these days.

Whats the 50scythe style like? I heard it was the end of a 4 chain or something and I cant see that being achieved in rvr much.

STill torn between the use of the lvl 50 style and the plain old bonus to weapon skill, as well as sticking with arb 38, since the lifetap dmg is the same pretty much as the arb 43 I was planning on.

I'll think about it a bit more when I get to 40, maybe by then I'll see what loving the class will get

I use Catacombs for working out the numbers, but the numbers don't tell you what makes an effective spec.

VW seems to depend heavily on parry for the tasty moves, so my mulling was based on how high to take parry at the expense of Arborial Path.

It is at the end of a 4 chain that 50 move I went and looked it up

Is it even possible to pull that off in rvr? As a hero who frequently uses 3 chains, I find one miss / evade / block / parry / target out of sight makes it very hard to pull of 3 styles in a row without a 4th at the end.

I have also heard VW's moaning about their hit/miss ratio, which i guess isnt going to help things.

Even with the 42 / 50 CS combo, I realise now why a lot of people prefer the 50 LW move for a Hero.

Are you sure you arent shooting yourself in your wooden feet speccing 50 Scythe?

That miss rate may get fixed off course, VW has some work needed on it and when I get to 40 I may just stop xping until I see where the class is headed, wouldn't want to be perma gimped or anything

With the best gear I could afford I terrorised yellow/orange con tumblers in cothrom gorge, next day I logged I got terrorised back, damn rng was on a real off day!

If they change the miss rate then I'll stay at 44 but I may go 50 for the extra weapon skill, arb over 38-39 is not that much use anyway, cept the haste and absorb, still got gimped af anyway

I'll be patient and wait and see what's in 1.61 when they get past 1.61a
