Valewalker and Animist issues

Been grouping with a couple of animists with my vw from lvl 7-11 , we chainpulled org and red mobs with no problems at all. But when we pulled purp mobs, there were some issues with the "mushrooms" not attacking at all :/ - did anyone have this problem aswell?

Another thing - before the SI release on the Eu servers, i read alot on the vnboards about VW's problem with their "Anytime Style", they simply dont got any good ones. They all have no bonus or low chance to hit. How do you think of this?, can you tell a diff. from other tanklike classes?. Didnt notice this myself really, but hey, im only lvl 11 :p

Hmm the Fire n forget turrets dont attack purple mobs even if a purple mob charges in. Thats a known bug afaik.

Anytime styles aren't so important for pve, I use taunt and reactionary, side stun is very useful, lack of decent anytimes in rvr will be a major issue I think and a fair bone of contention in the US.

VW needs a boost to hit rates and a bit of tweaking in general I think but it's a good class, not seen much problems with animist although I've not played one, only grpd with them :)

I dont think we need anytime styles tbh

I like the taunt and as my bro said the side stun is good if your attacking neutral mobs or in grps :)

I play both Animist and VW , I have to say the miss rates on VW's even on low con mobs is alarming .

I definately think that the lack of a good anytime style will be a major problem in rvr for a VW, and the fact that most of their moves are based on previous moves which are based on either parry or evade. Atleast the lvl 44 and 50 one.

Mushrooms do not attack purple mobs.

The only time they do is when you or your group leader is being attacked.

So, make your tank the group leader. As soon as the purple mob attacks your tank (The group leader), your mushrooms start casting at the mob.

Problem solved.

I agree on the basis that taunt as a move sucks ass with a def penalty, have to think about the role of a VW in rvr tho, will you be upfront from the beginning or staying back to nuke then close to mop up?
They aren't like wardens (although a warden who charges in and gets whacked silly is a major loss to the grp), VW strikes me as a secondary fighter in rvr, the side stuns WILL be handy to stop a tank on a mage, the nukes will be good to take out mages/healers and you should (hopefully!!) require a little less healing overall as you can get your own health back.

Oh and we have a snare too, not much use in pve you have to agree, think that will be useful for putting a slow down on tanks :D

Purples?

I know you can force your FnF turrets to release by targetting them and using the pet window, so this might work to tell them to attack (controlled does attack if you command it to). Havent tried it yet, and it would be a pain to have to click all your mushies, but better than nothing.

imo, the classes dont have any issues at all, must be the players that play that have issues ;) i hit a fin for 700 dmg with a nice crit on my DD style :D and my bro is helping with liferegen and AoE bomber nukes i think the classes are great :great:
