Somedays I really wonder why I still play this game...

Senario.... 5:20am Emain

After a nice three way battle with the Hibs and Mids thing are all quiet at DC so I have a wander over to MMG. All clear there so what the hell I decide to checkout MPK and to my suprise Juanan (think that is his name) shows up. I have a close run battle with him and manage to take him down. I then run back to MMG to meet a guildmate. When I get there I see about are 8 Albs stood on the Mid side of the gate so I wander over to say hello.

To my suprise a little blue con dwarf appears near them, friendly little fella starts dancing, I give him a sporting chance and send a couple of marshmellow pets after him, the plan being to either kill him or make the little bugger run. Anyway, he ran a bit then a pet managed to tag him and it was good night. Remember now this guy is blue, not grey and he is in emain where far lower levels than him get ganked. Some of the Albs present laugh but a few berate me, the little guy doesn't release and then /yell's for help. Next thing a green con appears over the hill so I give chase, he has yellow con company which means kill or die in emain for a caster.

I cast AE root and target the yellow, they /wave which I find odd but usually that means I am about to get stabbed by a SB so I nuke the yellow all the way to Valhalla, target the green and do exactly the same. By now all the Albs have arrived and start giving me grief about how they waved and were here to res the friendly little bluecon. Someone pipes up 'don't kill healers if they /wave'. Then others give me some grief and basically make me an outcast.

OMFG are you insane?? Albs die in out Forest Sauvage to Narve and Co night after night and when someone comes to res they kill the healer too. Emain is a free for all, ok if you kill 10 enemy then pull back and allow them to res but for one blue con? Now we allow yellow cons to survive just because he waves at you?

Ask the level 17 Alb who goes to snowdonia to run a few kill tasks and get one shotted by a level 50 did I do the right thing, ask all the level 50 Albs who got ganked by Sinister in Camelot Hills when they were level 10 and he was level 40 was it legit to kill a yellow in emain.

I can't belive what happened and the way I was treated tonight, it has really has shook my faith in this game and the realm.

we have all been there hun... just people who have their reasons. even i have been squeemish about killing others. but this is just a game and we ARE at war.

damn guess i should have logged in tonight, but was too content looking at other things on the net and chatting with friends.

oh well... next time i'll go with you and i promise not to hold back on the carnage

Albs siding with Mids... or hibs... makes me sick.

One night i was out rvring with my scout, and to my surprise i see Albs helping mids taking Dun Crauchon........ i get a msg come here and help us please dont kill them..... !!!!!! I MEAN WTF

I was currently grouped with a firewiz, and we both felt the same about the situation, it was total crap. We decided to play along though, and when mids reached the Lord Room, we ran up and wizzy started AoEing them LOL .. and i did my best to beat them down too my scout is only a little dude so i wasnt much help.
I dont think they ever got the keep that night... it slowed them down alot anyway

I know an alb was there with his dwarf-spy..... that makes me sick too, even if you are spying for the count of albion, its just wrong. I like fair games and thats when it is fun winning.

I wont bother mentioning any names though, people can do what they want. i cant be bothered to play police here.
Just know that i will never side with an enemy, no matter the cause... (hmm i read maxgirths post, finishing the event together all 3 realms would be exception )


And albs giving you grief for killing mids chodax.. im really sorry to hear that. Hopefully they are not many though.

Don't worry about it Chodax. You have a right to kill who you see fit in Emain - even greys if you so choose.

However, as these are green to yellow, i'd kill 'em with no worries, even if they wave.

The amount of times i've explored Emain on my own and been ganked by a red or purple are numerous. Only on one occasion did I wave and was let go.

I dont think its wrong to kill lowcons though, even if you have to share the 1 RP with 8 people, its your own choise.
If someone enters a RvR zone he/she should know you could get killed by an enemy.
Same thing happend to me in emain at DC raid, just got up the hill then BOOM Nomercy bolts me for 960+ dmg
I dont mind him killing me since its his job.
If I get killed its just /release and go back to exp and get some revenge when I am even con

Just to throw a flip side of the argument in...

Last night I took a wander down to Crauchon Gorge, not far from the PK. I came across a group of exping grey-con hibbies at some tree camp or other, fighting off a couple of mobs.

I wandered up to em and /waved a couple of times.

For one reason or another (probably the purp-con tin can looking over their shoulder) they decided to wander back to their PK... 5 minutes later Revminster stealths out (level 50, red to me at 42), and landed his crit shot on me... took me down to about 2/3rds health. I engaged him (Hello blocking 15 consecutive shots with a cheeky /wave in the middle), then wandered up and smacked him a few times - he got a lucky DoT proc off, which killed me just after I killed him (With Viras' shout finishing him off - RP THIEF! ).

In summary though... it's often worth letting the lower cons go, just so you can get their big brothers to come out and play.

(but dont hesitate to kill him your self ). or if you want to gank greys til you puke go ahead.. cos we all know after grey comes blue/yellow/red/purp running for you, saving you a trek around the frontier finding them...

I don't play RvR much as my highest lvl char is a measly lvl 39.
But when I get to a lvl where I won't get splattered, Since it RvR, if I see any Enemy realm people, I 'm gonna kill them if I can, no questions asked.

I really dont see the point in not killing greycons, if you look at it from a roleplaying POV we're supposed to be at war, so why spare the enemy?
The people know the risks when they enter the frontier, the risk to be killed be people from a enemy realm.
Also those greycons con might con purple to other people, heck the greycon I kill today might have killed many albs (my realm mates) in the battlegrounds.
Sure ofcourse the enemy may have mercy and spare your life but thats not something to expect just because you're grey.
The scenarie is that we are at war, all 3 realms, and that includes people from all realms.
Im from Albion, I want to kill/slay all the savages from the opposing realm and spare noone.
Its a part of the game.

heck, Redis heres 33rd and how many times have i taken a stroll through Hibernia or Odins and been set about by purple eyed uglies, often epic armour is involved somewhere...

Only once can i concede i have faced Mids with honour, that being in Odins gate when myself and Rackor were jumped by a Dwarf (fighter of some kind, big fat axe), a Norseman healer, and a rather happy kobold. The dwarf was red to me, the other two purple. I engaged the Dwarf, whilst the other two dropped Rackor. Then i was surprised to see the other two start cheering their dwarf friend, but didnt get involved. I parried my arse of, and we were running pretty even, down to about 10%, then the healer did his job, and i conceeded i had lost, so i saluted him, and fell over. They all cheered and even though i had died, i enjoyed that more than any encounter ive had out there.

Cho is perfectly within his rights to kill anything that says enemy of the Realm. Yes sometimes people have friends that they want to meet up with and have fun.. the PvP server will allow them this. However this is a Realm vs Realm server. All those who venture forth are subject to the whim of the enemy they face.

So cHo don't let it get to you. It happens sometimes (I've seen Mids and Hibs co-operating, and albs and Mids having fun together) but the end result is that if you want to kill an ENEMY you are in your rights to do so.

PS.. I managed to get at least a swing at you before that tank killed me in emain last night. Was quite amusing charging the casters on my own... pity I'm not a tank

Hehe ya crazy bastard I sometimes pull that trick and I try get a ghetto mezz off right in the middle of your casters, if it works it is game over, if not I get an axe in the face same as usual
