just played the demo for the first time yesterday for about 30 mins, and i was impressed

not a great leap forward on UT, but at the end of the days its merely an update, not a new game

i was amazed at the gfx even on a fairly mid range spec ( 1.3gig, geforce 3)

I enjoyed the demo... bomber-run with low-grav & instagib on a lan ownz :) Not gonna buy the full game just yet though, still trying to get used to BF1942...

Played it for hours last night and this morning, bloody brilliant.

Loving it to bits, so much so that I may actually seek out a clan for it. Problem is finding one that isn't full of 14-year old gimps.

i'm in two minds whether to buy it or not. I just seen a preview of a new storm trooper mod for it, with AT ATs, which looks fe0kin amazing.

Someone convince me ...i really need convinced :)

I have read this thread from the start and it amazed me for some reason , thread starts 1 UT2003 is shite , Middle UT2003 is ok , 3rd And Ending of the tread UT2003 is fuckin ACE :D

I started off hating it, and now I love it.

And I'm a hardened Quake 3 player.

Should be convincing enough :p

Just read the review on Firingsquad. They said it was much spammier than UT. Much as I loved UT more than Q3 I recognised it's major weakness was that spam was effective in many situations (skilled players had to use tactics to avoid getting in these situations as much as possible.)

If this is spammier then it high-level play just aint gonna be possible.

Not that I can play it on my PC atm :(

BTW UT2K3 is slightly boring, certainly not a scratch on BF1942.

SoF 2 is easily the best new game Ive played lately. BF1942 would be better if it, you know, worked a bit.
