Usefulness of Mythirian Items

Just wondering what people's experiences with Mythirian Items is:
I want to find out the real life RvR affects of the items.
Fill in the blanks please:

Talking about the Greater version of each of these items:

Greater
Discumbering - How much more stuff can you carry?

Power - this one seems great, helps with farming, not used in RvR though - experiences?

Protection - PD3 - Can I use this on an SB? Does it make much of a difference?

Barricading - Block 6 - If I equip a shield, will this help me? Trying it out - it didn't seem to do much at all. I take it you need to be able to spec shield? Is it any good for shield users?

Onslaught - siege weapons - how much faster does it shoot the weaps?

Beleaguered - Less Oil Damage - How much less? Can you survive 2+ pours?

Scathing - DPS2 - Does this work for an SB? Does it do much extra damage?

Deflection - Parry 6 - Does this do much? It did not seem to do much on my SB. I was hoping it would stack with the CL ability. I take it you need the parry skill?

Alightenment? - Safe Fall thing - lovely when jumping off high stuff

Evade - Do SB's really need this? I hardly notice any difference with it on or off

Guerdon - Nice extra RPs

Health - not tried the Greater Health but the Average one is not bad. Does anyone feel like selling me a spare greater health? :>

I would have thought being a SB you would have gone for something like:

Protectors edgebender +6% slash resists, or one of the PD ones

For items like, Block, parry you need to be able top spec in those lines for them to work.

So block,parry wont work on a SB or in my case a ranger.

I use, the Edgebender +6% slash, disemcumbering +50, siege speed increase +6% con ones.

I ran for a time with PD3 and the +6% slash using the scarab vest was fun :)

Hehe im swapping atm between 6% energy one and Endurance one on Nightshade :D

With Energy one i have 26% Heat/Body/Matter/Energy and 31% Spirit +AoM3+Cl sists ... its teh sex i tells ya <3

The Scathing one don't work untill the patch.. so its useless till then.

But i would definitely use that.

You need to have parry/block skill for the block/parry one to work.

only using the endurance atm, cause rest thats good for me doesnt seem to work. when they fixed the dps add i will be using that with switching endurance.

Most OP item seems to be the 15% power one

Yep power ones and patch 1.87 (increased power/end regeneration) will work wonders.

Im ussing atm the stre and stre cap one and siedge speed one (as warlord is the fastest u can get)

the str cap and str or dex cap and dex seemed good

as did the evade one for archers (not so good for assasins)

endo not really a problem with pots.

pd3 one sounds nice.

I don't think the evade one works till 1.87, but hey thats 2 days anyway.

Will the PD3 one work for archer classes post 1.88 since they lose PD in that patch? If it does, then thats a must get item...

I'm pretty sure that the cap increase ones dont work.
I had a +8 str cap mythirian on my inf, it increased my STR, but didnt increase my Weaponskill or even carrying weight.

They work, but they dont take it over the 101 cap apparently. So if your allready capped it wont do anything, but can be used to give you a bit more flexibility on a template.

Got this info from vnboards while ago, might have to check if that was 'working as intended' or if its patched as well.

well originally mythic said the cap increases can take you beyond your cap cap.

but i guess if it doesnt work then its working as intended.

I've got the int cap one on my bainshee .. goes over the 101 just fine for me.

Yea, it reports apparently ok in the stats (so reads as 109 if capped 101), but it wont actually give you any more damage.

This reinforces what censi said - indicating that it is a bug rather than working as intended. So could be fixed - someone will have to do some research when we get the patch - quite easy with acuity cap one.

Again, this isn't first hand, but was from long vnboard thread I read through a while back.

Aye, thats what you'd think :(. Have to let us know how the test goes, just make sure you cap your int first for ease of testing.

I am swapping parry/block/power/health and safe fall on the thane. Power one while resting and safe fall r the ones that show more when u equip em, but np... 6% more base defence added doesnt sound bad.

my template has 26 acurity cap

with the mythrian it added +1 damage

so 8 acurity added less than 0.4% to my overall damage

acurity 1 (gives 4 acurity) is supposed to add 0.8% damage

obviously bugged and not worth having, if the stat cap mythrians worked id get a dex one.... but they dont work

best stick with the power one as a caster for now

well , i just checked it on my bains , tho my template has got 96int in it , took the int cap myth to get my cap :p
but having that thingy in makes me do 11 more dmg , w00t! :p
after swapping about and making sure i got 101int my crap resists buffbot gets nuked for 733dmg .... equipping int cap myth made it 748 dmg , not alot , but worth it still i guess! xD

Depends if u capped powerpool i guess, reasoning as per Crom's thinking (which i agree upon). That said it's the usual Mythic shit to not explaining how things should work (so less "working as intended" needed to hand out)

Ive had quite a few probs with some of the Mythirians...

I tried the Evade which I dont seem to notice any difference.
I have tried the PD3 - It says it flows through me but I dont see a change.
The +8 con +8 con cap does not work it gives you +8 con but no extra HP
The only things that seem to work at the moment are the resists.
Ofc I havn't tried all the mythirians but these are a few that I seem to be having problems with.

the stat cap myth "works" only if u have overcapped stat in template.
its only cap, it got nothing else in it.

I have 101 dex in temp and when im using the dex cap and dex inc myth it shows 109. It also increases my dex from 360 to 368... however im not 100 % that im benefiting from it.

does your pierce WS go up with pokers and does your bow WS go up with bow when you wear it?

well come on, its 8 dex, how mutch of a noticeable difference can it make? ;>

I know that most of the mythirians are bugged and are getting fixed on (lots of em still dont work on US.) but hopefully they soon will. what im woundering is how the mythirians that dont work even got past the test stage, they shouldnt have been invented if they dont work at all :touch:

id be more intrested whether the dex one works or not, 8 dex is worth is, 8 acurity i wouldnt be so bothered about

ill do some other tests on the acurity cap mythrian when i can be bothered but its not worth logging in atm for many reasons

U should read Labby discusion on vnboards there is a thread only about mythriums and they don't seem to be fixed in 1,87 or 1,88. But it says in the latest grab bag on herald that they are looking into it. Like thats going to make a major difference hahaha:fluffle:
