Ok so some of you may know I'm a little...natty, unusual, not-rich-enough-to-qualify-as-eccentric-but-tries in my behaviour and i really enjoy it most of the time.
However, one of my little quirks has been like a steering wheel in the groin just lately (i.e. its been drivin me nuts!) and that is my OCDish planning obsession (I plan everything...way in advance, I'm not joking I already know what I'm going to be eating and doing on halloween and santamas eve). Now usually I enjoy this but as you may know I have quite a busy year ahead of me, lots of cool stuff happening and my head has damn near 'sploaded with all the plans that have been bouncing about in it.
It got to the point where I could not get to sleep and once asleep I dream of my plans and then I wake up really early to recheck them, so after having a discussion with the much beloved B2 I thought it might be an idea to get a snazzy notebook and remove the plans from my cranium and put them in the notebook instead, thus freeing up space for other things for me to ponder.
Off I went to staples today and brought a rather nice notebook with a giraffe on the cover and when I got home I transferred my two most imposing plans in to it and my head went *sigh*.
It really is a nice relief not to have to constantly carry these plans about with me where they niggle and nag and beg to be adapted and fine tuned.
So I just thought I'd share this useful tip and advocate the use of a notebook (preferably a snazzy one) if you have a lot on your mind, just take it out and transfer it. It helped me and hopefully I'll actually get a good nights sleep tonight...
*goes off to plan nights sleep*
