US Account?

I'm trying to start playing DaoC again on the US servers, however there's a 1.8gb download for a free trial to create an account. Iirc I can use my existing disks to install the game and then get the game to log me to the US side for the account creation? Does anyone remember or know if this was/is possible since even with 2meg cable 1.8 gig is a BIG download and I just wanted to get a shortcut if I can!

u probably could. u just get the patches from whatever version the CD's have and up to the current version.

If you have a US Catacombs license, these are the lines you need to have in your update.dat file

Mythic Patch
patch.daoc.net:1280/updates/catacombs/mpatch.dat
patch.daoc.net:1280/updates/catacombs/mpatch.dat

I think you can just replace catacombs with atlantis if that is your license. The fee download account is Classic+SI only iirc. Used to be Classic only but with the game engine update they included SI.

Also on your game login is a button on top: New Account. When you to already have a game login, you use that and a billing/account information window will pop up where you fill in mnthly payment method and creditcard info, then hey presto you play. You can reactivate an old account that way.
