After losing the old version Ive finally got around to downloading all 243mb of the new one, and Im glad I did, it looks like a nice game.
However , will someone please tell me how to run Q3 without an internet connection present these days ? Ive checked "never dial a connection" in my Internet control panel in windows, but it still trys to connect, and thus hangs the game

start up q3, select multiplayer and hit space to stop it trying to find servers, then set it to local so it doesnt check in future

Nar still does it even with it set to local. The game starts, then hangs with the network connection thing in the back ground :/

you got PB enabled? Might be it doing the 'hey, i think you're trying to cheat' thing =

No it was my fault, I turned the q3 browser to local but forgot there is a separate UT browser to fuck about with as well...
