Anyone played this game yet?


I just acquired after reading some decent reviews. Fancy getting into some l33t h4x0ring.

Been playing it for a time now - does get a bit repetitive though.

Have you got the update from the Uplink site - this allows higher resolutions and other fixes/improvements ?

One tip - make sure you pay your fines :)

I'm buying it as we speak, at 22Kb/s.

I played the demo a while ago and got bored. I'll have another stab with this new patch. I'd love a game like this with an overly graphical, hi-tech interface. 3D swirling graphics and the like - the way futuristic interfaces are supposed to look. This interface seems more like 1980 than 2010. :/

I prefer the retro Wargames stylee. Anyone remember that old C64 game Hacker? When it loaded you were presented with just a login screen and no help to login. Forgot how I got the actual PW to get in and play the flippin thing.

Just read in the 'changes' file that they've added mod support and in particular new skins. Maybe we'll start to see some spinky new interfaces.

Munkey, demo can be downloaded from the official site (though a Google search would have told you that) and change that avatar, fs! :eek:

I dunno... tsk.

:( erm this game was made by only a few people no large greedy corporation (Basically by a few guys in their spare time). Would you mind coughing up? I mean if we want an Uplink 2 then we should pay right?

If you're going to steal an avatar and simply change a few colours around, at least make sure you put the waves in different places.
