updates

As I've been away from operation flashpoint for a while I haven't been paying attention to the updates. So what are they and where can I find them.
And is it true there's gonna be a vietnam add on?

Sorry, Ignus. Didn't notice your ickle post here!

Retail release is 1.0 and the current official patch is version 1.20. Once you've got that, install the 1.29 Beta Patch for some extra bits. All the official patches are available here though the site seems to be down atm.

Operation Vietnam is in devlopment and looks tasty, but personally I'm looking forward to the WWII mod, Invasion 1944. All of the mods are a long way off as BI/Codemasters have not released any modding tools yet, though they're on their way.

/edit 1.29 Beta released this evening, after posting. What a fast-moving virtual world we live in. Next full version 1.30 to be released early next week. Apparently.

Cheers someguy but you're a little late, I actually got off my own arse and went looking for the bugger, have already downloaded 1.20 but I think I'll look into 1.29 tonight, cheers dude.

Ok, I'm sat in front of the Barrysworld FTP bit and I ain't got a clue.

I got the 1.20, 1.26 and 1.27 patches, and apart from the 1.29 patch, what else of these do I need and what do they do?

You only really need: ofppatch_upgrade_1_20.zip

For some extra bug fixeas download 1.29 Beta which replaces all previous 1.2x releases (ie. you can ditch your 1.26 and 1.27 files). It's a lot clearer on this page.

All the rest are little unofficial add-ons. User-made weapons, skins etc as well as some officially released new vehicles which are included in the 1.20 patch, anyway.

Personally I don't bother with any of these extra little add-ons unless a particular user-made mission says it needs one of them.

Don't fret. It's not as complicated as the HL/CS patch nightmare.
