I love the fact the pope is apparantly wearing bright red high heels, i bet he wears stockings and suspenders too under his dress.

Morphius.

That's enough, some jokes are all well and good but NOT them.

Feel free to say them to your friends in a quiet pub environment, but not here thanks.

Looks like she may be dead :(

She is dead and her parents had something to do with it.

lol at all the people giving them money and jumping on the bandwagon if it does turn out that is that case.

And how come it took so long, don't they watch CSI in Portugal fgs? :p

It's funny when people state that they didn't have to get the media involved, getting the media involved increases the chance of saving that poor little kid.

Actually getting the media involved probably increases the chances of the kid being killed.
If you had kidnapped her, then the media frenzy kicked off i'd imagine the very first thing you'd be thinking was "crap, how do I dispose of the evidence".

Yes, but when you´re in the situation and in panic, you don´t think like that. You think straightforward and want to inform as many people as possible to increase the chance that "somebody" will eventually see her. I reckon it´s some kind of tunnel vision.

There was a headline in today's paper (Daily Mail) - the mother was saying they did not kill her. I'm sure they didn't but in these days - well, you know what the world's like - parents DO kill their children and try to cover up the murders. It was just odd seeing it.

This story is going the exact same way as the story about that kid who was mauled by a dog.

There was more and more stories about agro dogs in the papers for ~3/4 months despite the fact that blatently nobody cared by this point.

I'd say by this time next year, nobody will remember anything about this story, the parents will be quite well off living in some random exotic country (Or preferrably arrested for neglegance which is what should have happened in the first place).

Stories like this are a flash in the pan and I wonder why people who read the papers and constantly donate money to it bother in the first place, every single time the instigators are just around to make money (O.J Simpson and 'If I did it' anyone?).

It would be nice to find her alive but at the same time, the parents should be in a sodding cell contemplating their idiotic mistake, they're bad parents.

Granted some of you are sticking up for the parents and accuse us of not seeing 'the big picture', but rather why don't you take a look at it too?

ANYONE who thinks "Oh, i'll just leave my kid in some place where we can't see them and go on the piss, it'll be ok, it's got a locked door." should be stripped of the right to be a parent, a child is not like a fucking wallet, they're a living breathing human that can feel pain for christs sake, a loss of £100 is so much different to having an unreplacable human being go missing.

The fools who contribute to their "fund" are most likely being skinned for cash that will go nowhere besides the pockets of her parents so they can jet around the world and do yet more pointless rubbish, seeing the pope? Right ok, what the hell is the pope going to do? Pray?

Right and I suppose the pope is going to snap his fingers and god will suddenly place Madeleine back in the arms of her moronic parents.

However.

Now more and more evidence is cropping up that nobody might have actually kidnapped her, rather the parents may have killed her and planned for this sort of media attention, come on blood was found in the actual apartment, granted she may have been killed on the spot by someone completely different however it does not negate the fact that they may have killed her for the attention.

If it does come out and it turns out that the parents knocked her off, i'll be sat there with a rather smug grin toward all the people that have wasted their money donating to the 'charity' (Read: Sun & Daily mail readers).

Personally this is why i'm a complete tightwad towards 'charities' mainly because I don't know where my moneys going, especially with cases such as this, I mean referencing to the dog mauling, wasn't there a small charity set up for that too? :p

People seem too easily conned and ready to part with their money 'for a good reason' INFACT it'd be exceptionally easy for me to walk around Middlesbrough tomorrow with a suit on saying i'm gathering money for the Madeleine charity and I can place a fair bit that most people will probably blindly give me money for that fact that they're so god damn brainwashed by the media coverage that they can't see further into the underlying facts.

someone at work thinks another theory is its someone who works in the hotel. they went on the rob, which happens alot in these hotels i know because it happened to mates, and whilst on the rob was interrupted by the kid, worker panics and kills the kid by mistake. Due to the fact the worker is a cleaner (for eg) they had all the tools to clean the room. Ditched the body and the rest we know about.

Makes sense really, the cleaner would have access to the room, know the local area and would have had the opportunity to monitor the parents

Then again, occams razor has to come into effect there a bit. Though, both seem so absurd, that, well, don't know what to think of it.

"Madeleine’s Fund: Leaving No Stone Unturned Limited is a company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales, CRN 6248215. Registered office: 2-6 Cannon Street, London EC4M 6YH. Auditors: Haysmacintyre, Fairfax House, 15 Fulwood Place, London, WC1V 6AY.

MADELEINE’S FUND
Leaving No Stone Unturned

Madeleine’s fund is a non charitable not-for-profit company

NOTE

1.1 The full objects of the Fund are:

1.1.1 To secure the safe return to her family of Madeleine McCann who was abducted in Praia da Luz, Portugal on Thursday 3rd May 2007;

1.1.2 To procure that Madeleine’s abduction is thoroughly investigated and that her abductors, as well as those who played or play any part in assisting them, are identified and brought to justice; and

1.1.3 To provide support, including financial assistance, to Madeleine’s family.

1.2 If the above objects are fulfilled then the objects of the Foundation shall be to pursue such purposes in similar cases arising in the United Kingdom, Portugal or elsewhere. "

If you note the notes, objective 1.1.3 and 1.2 are rather interesting, there is no definition of the fullfillment of Financial assistance to the family.

By the way, notice how fast the discussion died and the link to the support site left the original post after it became "apparent" that a-parent(hihi) might be involved? :D

Noticed this myself, finding it pretty funny. People don't want to admit they've been taken anally by the newspaper :) Proves all my other points.

Wonder if it was actually the parents, would be quite interesting.. Extradiction to another country where the laws there don't matter :D
