You probably have already discounted this for some reason but if not why don't you look into teaching writing?

Teaching, especially with mature students, is a better fallback than the plan you've outlined and will definitely allow you time to pursue your writing.

Dont limit your self to just Wedding Stationary - look at everything with printing on it (Christmas Cards, Calendars etc)

apart from that, I have no other input (apart from re-iterating how much you could potetntially earn by pimping out WPK)

It's not in plaster as it's not a complete break, but yes it's my strong hand so lots of one handed typing, had it over a week now. A lot of pain and trouble caused by this.
