WAIT A MINUTE! I don't understand.

They're releasing Unreal Tournament 2 and Unreal 2 but neither of them will have multiplayer?

If it's just the case that U2 will be single-player and UT2 will be multi-player, then what's the problem?

nearly... they are releasing both games, but UT2 will be multiplayer like UT is... Unreal 2 will be like Unreal single player but prettier (dunno what the story's gonna be like though)

Interested to see what the Unreal 2 plot will be. I've heard snippets...

The original Unreal shot itself in the foot, imo. The opening bit in the Rikers prison ship was superb; falling light fittings, distorted PA announcements (Prisoner 849 escapioong), distant screams and creaking metal... top stuff.

Then you run outside and its all grass and stupid monsters. A big let-down. :(

Anyway, what were we talking about?

umm thats because there is 1: Unreal 2
and 2. Unreal 2 Tournament

note that one is MP and the other isnt, so its still MP.

Duh !

Unreal had multiplayer as well as single player. A lot of ppl didn't like it tho. It still had a reasonable little following with star clans like [Void]

UT was mostly multiplayer as we all know but you could play it single player vs bots.

Unreal 2 will be like Unreal in having a proper single-player game as well as multiplayer.

UT2 will be like UT obviously.

Case closed. Can we stop the arguments now ?



On a side note there is also Unreal Championship coming soon which will be kinda like UT2 for the XBox and supposedly a title called Unreal Warfare which noone knows much about. My original guess was that this would be a massively multiplayer FPS but didn't Digital Extremes plan a similar thing with Dark Sector ?
