Unmountable Boot Volume (XP) Fix

Recovery console has to be loaded up, boot from the cd-rom OS/recovery disc, straight after the point where you "press any key to boot from cd-rom" press and hold the f10 key.
Keep it held until the recovery console screen loads (about 2 minutes).
From here you can run the following commands, which fixes the fault. chkdsk, fixboot and fix mbr.
