I just got my hands on a promo copy of this and it's truly stunning. No way near as eclectic as the last album, but in some ways that's a plus point as it hangs together much more coherently. Josh Homme is on superb form as usual, best frontman around anyone?

Anyway, keep your eyes open for this and if you like their style grab it as soon as you can.

Is this Unkle as in James Lavelle (DJ Shadow previously said he wasn't going to have anything to do with this?

If so .....I'm definatly having it :D

Yeah, It's Lavelle and another guy who's name right now I can't remember. No Shadow this time around.

Just downloaded (off a web-site :/) Gdmfsob(unkle remix) - DJ Shadow and its fucking cool! It had roots manuva on it (which I'm guessing the original didn't). Just wondering is there a DJ-Shadow remix album around or is the original stuff just as good as this?

The site in question

That's off The Private Repress which is a re-release of The Private Press, Shadow's last album, it's pretty much wonderful all round.

All of DJ Shadows albums are superb, however i do prefer his mix albums as opposed to his 'solo albums' (however they are pretty fucking amazing too)

Get these ones..

Brainfreeze (with Cut Chemist)
Product Placement ( also with CC)

If u gonna kazaa look for tracks called

Napalm Brain, Scatter Brain
Blood on the Motorway
The 6 Day War
Midnight In A Perfect World

All these tracks will give you a fairly decent overview of what DJ SHadow does on his own as opposed to just mutilating 12"'s
