Yes we did, because it worked for everyone. And the fact you're using language like "cucks" shows how much you've swallowed the kool-aid. We got the peaceful Germans we all wanted. Now we have to go and waste money and make the world more dangerous because the Americans want to change the deal, primarily because the President (as he's demonstrated a hundred times) knows absolutely nothing about history.

I didn't think there was kool-aid around calling us cucks? It's just what came to mind when, you know, I looked at the history and how we've acted.

Yes, we got the peaceful Germans we all wanted (which is largely why Europe was a thing). But I'm glad you think Europe with an army makes the world more dangerous than just America with an army.

So, really, what you're actually saying, is that you're glad the Americans were guaranteeing our security, because we can't be trusted. And I kind of agree to a point. But expecting them to go on doing it forever, when we're retreating from the englightenment principles that they've at least got enshrined in their constitution, is unrealistic.

We've been bashing the Americans, not just since Trump took over, but for a long long time. His brashness has just brought it out into the open. And I kind of think that out in the open is better than carrying on in a lie.
