Chelsea got the player of the millenium in Essien. He is, in my opinion, the best player in the Premiership, if not the world. But didnt Chelsea buy Mikel from Utd? I thought he was the player Utd signed, but then he claimed he wanted to play for Chelsea, and so they bought his registration from Utd before he moved from DK?

Sidwell was apparently garented 30 games a season. you just dont know if thats all cups and must include substitute appearances. Sidwel might have a good work ethic but he is not worth the 40k a week you offered to poach him. He must realise he will be a squad player at best so i can only think it was the money that made him pick you over a team offering him first team football

Anderson won the best player award at the last youth world cup. Giovani Dos Santos was runner up (hes At Barca). Anderson has the potential to be better than Ronaldinho and Ronaldo and who better to nuture that talent than Alex Ferguson. All the top European clubs have been after him for a few years now. Barcelona cooled their interest because of Dos Santos. Im pretty sure I said in another thread, the only person who could replace scholes in my eyes was Luis Anderson. Maybe sir Alex took my advice

Very good signings. Always liked them two players, and coupled with us completing the signing next week of hargraves we have got a solid midfield line with players ready to replace giggs and scholes. At least as much as that care can be replaced.

Buying them now gives a year or two of development time before they need to be ready week in, week out. Well done Fergy

It was a bit strange what happened iirc. Originally he wanted to play for Chelsea, then United scooped him from under Chelsea's nose, then Chelsea rescooped him from Utd, but had to pay something like £5m for doing so
