Just had a quick look around. Seems like it is possible, but only by paying a network to generate an unlock code from your IEMI.

May be possible to find a app from somewhere that would do that though.

Or just phone up your operator and tell them it's illegal to lock your phone and if you request an unlocking code they have to comply.

Worked for a mate of mine.

Never buy a phone from 3 or Vodafone. They re-brand them, fiddle with settings and software, and you cant change that.

They have to give you a code if your contract is up (because then you have paid for the phone) or you have bought the phone outright. Otherwise it's still their property and they can do what they like.

I have now used an n80 and n91. They are teh sex. Seriously, big jump in sexyness and the addition of WiFi. The n91 is a good mp3 player (4gb harddrive), and the 3mp camera on the n80 is quality. Hold off your Nokia phone buying till they come out in May.

Which one was smallest and considered to be the best out the 2?

did you still want a nokia from me?

If you have any lying around I would love one chum. Wanted one for the hands free in the Saab.

Ring me in the week or something so we can talk about how great I am.

True, but they are allowed to charge an "admin" fee for getting the code for you.

n80 is the smaller, but it really depends what you need it for. They both have the 60 series os, but the n80 has a newer version. The n91 has the mp3 functionality but only a 2mp camera compared to the 3mp on the n80.

Personally I will be getting an n80 and just use a big memory card to store mp3's on.
