My parents are in Berlin today for the funeral of the aircrew my Uncle died in.

The BBC has picked up on it, and apparently there was something on TV this morning about it. My Dad has been very uptight about it for the last week or so, TBH it'll be good when it's all over.

Just seen the tv spot on Spolight this evening down here in the good 'ol westcountry. How did you get on with restoring that photo? I noticed they were using the old version in the tv spot.

Bugger, missed Spotlight

Dad sent a scan of the original to the RAF, I guess they didn't bother to restore it as well as I did.

It did come out extremely well in the end, got it nicely framed, and it was a very well appreciated present.

Thanks to everyone, closure will indeed be good.

Local Newspaper had an article on this featuring photos of the men - Your uncle's photo was included in there as well

Was not a little tucked away corner piece like things like this normally are in the guardian.
