Not sure what happened but it happened in the past for a few months as well. (2-3 years ago?)

I reckon from about November I wasn't able to access the forums. Just said some error message. I just kept trying to access once or twice a week until it has now let me come through this week.

Probably for the best though as I have no more nails or hair after this world cup.

Fucking Argentinians.

Is it still happening? The system is working as it should be as far as I can see.

No, hence why I'm here. My access magically came back around Monday/Tuesday this week.

I'm not sure what happens but when it does I lose access for several months. The last time it happened to @caLLous also and if I remember right, he also accesses the forums from outside of the UK(?) so maybe it's an external routing thing.

Both he and I got the same error:

Ah that is a cert error.

Can you open the cert and give me some details of it, also ping forums.freddyshouse.com and give me the IP address when it fails with the page above.

EDIT:

Actually visit this page please (it is one of mine)

It will list stuff at the top and your IP address.

Which cert do you need? as the error isn't showing right now for me

Oh then that is indicating something is happening on your end as I have done nothing this end, the cert for the forums, on firefox it is the little shield in the left side of the url

Also that status page is created and loaded from a server hosted in France, so if it was a global issue then that page will also show an error for the forums, next time it happens for you go to that page and see if the forums are erroring.

Hmm that is correct as well, so at this moment it is working fine, I need you to do the above when it fails because somehow you are possibly going through a transparent proxy or something else is intercepting the certificate.

When it happens again also do a ping forums.freddyshouse.com so I can see the destination IP address you are being sent to.
