Umm...can't log in at all?

Since patch earlier on today I can't log in under any of my four accounts. Just says invalid password. I copy and paste so I arent typing it wrong...

And I've asked a confirmation email to be sent, and the p/w matches up so they've not changed it..

So .... my next question...wtf caused it to patch to the US client when I've never, ever had any problems before?

Cos the Euro patch server was down so you get shunted to the US ones. It's hardcoded in the software that if you don't connect to the normal patch servers you get routed to the backups. Unfortunately these backups are US patchers. If you have a reasonably good connection you won't have encountered this problem before, however if the euro servers are actually down then it doesn't matter how fast your pipe is you aren't connecting to them.

a Civil reply makes a change for this question.

Try to keep a copy of the update.dat file so you can easily copy it back - if you see the patcher updating stop it and check the main DAOC Europe home page, if it doesnt mention patch day then the chances are your conencted to the USA patch servers.

Some people have a batch file to copy the update.dat back each time they load DAOC

Other people just run game.dll directly and bypass the patcher.
