Simon Cowell wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Britain will lose year after year regardless of their entry and so Cowell would see it bad for his reputation.
Not regardless of their entry, if the sent a decent song sometime they would win. I think UK has most wins in the history or something like that so ?
It's just that last 10 years they have sent really shit songs
Edit: 5th place is good, personally i didn't think it deserved it to be that high, such an awfully boring song![]()
don't fck with europe if you wanna win the eurovision?![]()
All we need is another war where we the rest of europe are all beaten and bruised, then we turn up and kick some arse. Then we'll have another few years of winning the Eurovision!

And the past 7 years has been all about politics rather than the actual song itself, Europe hates the UK because we won't join or listen to them. It all started after the war in Iraq kicked off so what does that tell you.
But a good song can still score some points
Not all politics, ofc the winners have always have lots of neighbor votes etc. But a good song can still score some points (where was the politics in Lordi win?!?).
I mean ..

The Lordi win was the biggest farce of all time. Nobody actually liked the "song" if it can be called that, they just wanted to be seen voting for the act that caused the biggest media fuss.
Yes Scooch was wank but no more wank or cheesy than the rest of the music.
Somebody mentioned earllier that it was a pop music contest but I'm pretty sure it was meant to be a contest that represented a nations musical culture.
