Aye Anderson Silva is with the UFC now, which is actual non scripted fighting. So that is the real deal, and that uppercut elbow was fucking DOOOM. However that was during Cage Rage before he made his debut in the UFC i believe.
When i first saw it, i was surprised a technique that dangerous was allowed. Does look mighty sweet though

UFC is Ultimate Fighting Championship, where world champs in Grecko-roman wrestling, brazilian jujitsu, Kickboxing, etc go for the big cash, it's as real as it gets, Mixed martial arts; All the fighting arts combined, you have rounds etc like in boxing, but in UFC it happens in an octagon, cage-like ring.

Other MMA companies are: K-1 (mostly kickboxing/thaiboxing etc), Cage Rage (british version, not so big.) Pride (used to be huge, but UFC bought most of it up, WFA, Pride Bushido (japanese only).

Usually one can win by tapping another out, striking one out, winning or points, or if the referee has to stop the fight due to injury/unconciousness.

Personally I like UFC. The fights are real which is more than can be said for some other "sports"

If you don`t like fighting sports then fine but saying something is just shit without any explanation is pretty pathetic.

Incidently real shame about Randy he`s one of the greatest fighters in the world and even now still surpises, like his win over Tim Silvia no one gave him a hope of winning but he kicked his arse big time.

UFC has some rules that make me laugh like no puching to the back of the head. If you can throw and un padded elbow to the temple (kill shot from the right person) but you cant puch the back of the head with a padded fist. I think the real test for UFC will come with the first serious Injury i wonder if they will look after the injured Talent like WWE or cut them lose. And will the groups trying to ban the "sport" get a louder voice.

Vinnie Mac is shiting him self hoping to get a break the 10 suspended superstars show that. It will be interesting what happens now that if a positive test is found WWE will anounce who took it and what drug they were positive for.
