Allo folks.

Trying to install Ubuntu (64bit) on my box with very little luck.
The trouble appears to be related to my RAID setup, it just falls over during setup and says something about the controller.

Setup is as follows
Asus P5K-E WiFi/AP motherboard (ICH9R raid chipset)

Single Seagate Barracuda ES 250gb. 200gb of which hosts my Vista 64 installation. 50gb is unpartitioned, awaiting my Ubuntu install.

3 x Hitachi Deskstar 400gb units in Raid5. This hosts my data.

Plan is, Ubuntu in that 50gb dedicated. Need to be able to access the RAID drives. Using the Vista bootloader (via EasyBCD) for the sake of ease and so the wife doesn't nag me too much because she can't work GRUB :)

Any clues or hints much appreciated.

Scratch it, been pointed at Ubuntu's fakeraid howto and decided I'm better off waiting till my new esata kit arrives, I'll install onto that ;)
