yes, when im on my laptop whilst not at home or someones with wireless router connection.

Ubisoft Patches Assassin's Creed 2 DRM, Allows Local Saves - HotHardware

AC2 won't be released until March 16, but the company has already issued a patch that will allow gamers to resume playing in the event of a connection break, rather than forcing them back to the last saved game.

hrhrhrhrh.. it also states that silent hunter 5 was cracked and on the internet within 24 hours of release. (Yet to be confirmed, but it sure looks like that is the case.)

It's not about that, how many people's DSL lines are working 24/7? Check the uptime on your line I bet it's probably less than a day (mine at one point had an issue every few hours). So there you are, about to finish a huge mission when your DSL line dies for whatever reason, *bang* game quits and you have to start again, it's utterly ridiculous

Well if you don't count me sleeping or being out of the house, my net is on about 24/7.

Don't know about other countries, but in Finland it's pretty durn reliable.

Ofcourse disconnects happen every so rarely, but these days it's something that comes with games

Hate theese protections they mostly only hinders thoose who pay to play.

I am able to work with these DRM schemes IF they actually put decent ports of games to PC,lately developers seems to have shaped up with this thought,expect Mass Effect 2
