LOL, my family being from India they were all gutted. I support England in all sporting events though, so I was laughing.

I do not think we will beat the Windies though; actually that is a lie, I do not think Petierson will turn up for a consecutive match, and without his performances we suck.

Wouldn't have Wright in the team at all. I'd open up with Cook (he's getting better at the one day game day by day) and Flintoff when fit, drop Bopara to 3, KP at 4, Colly 5, Trott 6, Dimi 7, Foster 8, Swann 9, Broad 10, Anderson 11

Yeah a defnite good match. We were lucky the Indians put Jadeja (sp?) in at no.4 rather than Yuvraj or Dhoni! If that had happened it might have been a whole different story!

well that was rather bad luck for you brits. You actually put up a good score for the Windies to chase, shame about the d/l rule. But that's life.

We did put up a good score, but to be fair the Windies batted very well I thought, all we had to do was restrict them to singles and play defensively, instead we made errors and let them go for big hits.

Defending 80 from 9 overs with 10 wickets in hand is a massive ask against any side, the D/L method is a bastard.

:iagree: the minute I saw the score required I knew it was all over. But I have to say the Windies are lucky they've got Sarwan and Shiv!

I couldn't understand that either.
England hit 161 in 20 overs.
West Indies were set 80 to win in 9 overs.

I think that gives the chasing side a significant advantage. Wasn't the D/L method devised for 50 over matches? Maybe it needs some tweaking for 20twenty?

Yeah. 80 in 9 overs makes sense if they've got 4 or 5 wickets to play with rather than 10

England were screwed from the start once it started raning, england got thier score from 20 overs useing low end bats men... Indie's had 9 over to win it useing there best bats men, kinda sucky rule.. Defending team have to play out of there skin + luck

Hope everyone saw that 1st over from matthews? 3 outs in 5 balls. All 3 bowled out on golden ducks.

I thought Simmons and Bravo were only Ducks (sure they both faced 2 balls?) But still bloody impressive first over. Also did you listen to the Aus vs Eng Women Semi-Final, very calm and collected run chase by Eng!

I'm glad Pakistan won. Malinga's swing arm action just totally fucking freaks me out every ball he bowls.
