I can personally recommend the MopBot2k - guaranteed to miss virtually everything then automatically complain about lag, loss and ping spikes through in-game chat!

In fairness the cheating is an absolute fucking nightmare . There was a bloke on our clan server last night, had a score on dust of 25-3 or something in a few rounds, and people were screaming cheat etc.
Now i rarely ban people for cheating unless Im absolutely convinced of it, and couldn't tell for certain. I asked the opinion of everyones favourite git , Adz (I know how much you like that m8 ) , and he thought the guy was cheating, so i banned him. Thats now about 27 perma-bans on our server in 3 months, not too many really, but it makes me wonder how many others got away with it.
On a BY server the other day on Italy a guy ran round the corner where I was looking out of the flat window , back towards CT spawn, and headshotted me instantaneously. He would have had to fire before seeing me. I watched the guy, and even I could see he was cheating, but his aim bot didnt always get a headshot like in the old days, therewas a mix. Very difficult to tell.
Im sure if people didnt do so much aliasing it would help too. There are some recognised "good players" , and it would help everyone if peeps stuck to one name, as it would avoid embarrasement for all concerned
I tell you what, we have all these cheat detection devices, and the stuff still gets through. Its enough to make me play a different, possibly less popular game for a bit in order to get away from it :/

That guy on your server last night was quite blatantly cheating throddy, I've seen people using bots before and it's exactly the same, nobody has reflex aim like that without missing a few.

Sad thing is, he had a clan tag on and everything. Do you think his clan knows he's a cheating scumbag? ;/

Its not like q2 where quite a lot of clans were recognised "institutions" almost, these days they come and go in the bat of an eye ...

true, I could tell you some of the CS clans I've been in (and played for, before you say anything ) and you'd never have heard of them. It's a huge scene really :/

Whereas in Q2 you knew all the clans, regardless of how big the game was. I remember playing KEA in the UKCCL. I'm getting nostalgic

I usually let team mates go around corners first and see if they die... if they don't I follow tentatively, if they do I run in and finish off the attackers while they are reloading; a true sportsman
