greetings ppl.

how come all weapons ect in housing is 45+ (nearly all) and theres nothing rly for sale for newcomers, it's kinda hard lvl'ing to 45+ on starter gear and all, i know drops occur, but not in any usefull rate, atleast thats my experience, im currently using blue/green con starter gear and im finding it to be incredibly hard to lvl, ive tried the DF way, with seals and all, but i just get chain ganked by Warders, and ive tried like mad to raise money for some gear, but all housing prices are ofc priced for 45+ wich is alot of money when ure starting from scratch (new server) has it rly come down to know somebody generous or transfer cash from ure original server (when/if possible) ? u may call it a whine, i guess im just frustrated about being gimp in gimp gear. i'd imagine the true newcomers to Daoc feel the same way *shrugs* i'd just wish there was reasonable pricing, for like sub-30 gear. and before anyone asks im trying to lvl up a Savage, currently lvl 25.5 i had to skip Thidranki cause i got steamrolled by ppl in SC ect.

Naaah, i agree with you bro.. dont know why it is that way, suppose it has something to do with all the ppl buying stuff in housing for their newly rolled thid chars.. The house owners/crafters etc has to make a living

I think its because loot like this is usually put up for 1 gold and then its instantly bought by someone. at the moment it is a little harder to buy stuff on merchants then usually since many has had their characters stripped when the server crashed and need to equip them and also since many got insane amounts of platina handed over from goa to shop for.

same on hib excal same in most places you can't find any armour or weapons 30-40 to level with i gave up after 2 weeks of trying to find crafters

There are actualy numerous avenues for weapons at low level. I have been xping a new Zerker recently and I never once had to use a level 45+ rog.

So where did I get my weapons?

1) Epic Quests, some of the zerker epic quests yeilded weapons
2) Classic world quests, Njessi, Sorrow OTD, to name but two around the level 22-30 mark. You can find quests by looking out for the NPC's with coloured circles around their feet in all regions.
3) Drops, had plenty of weapon drops, be it rogs from SI, or named from classic dungeons.
4) Aurulite & Seals, some really decent weapons to be had by spending your Aurulite obtained from Catacomb instances. Likewise with DF, although you take the risk of being PK'd the advantage though is that you require less seals to purchase weapons then you do Aurulite.
5) Skill up a Weaponcrafter, Very cheap to skill up WCing whilst xping I find, although I didn't take this route myself with the zerker I am considering doing so with my new Thane!

all good suggestions mate, ive found getting weapons a tad more difficult tho, seeing as h2h weapons are a rare comodity compared to hammers/axes/swords and so on, atleast thats my experience, on the Aurulite thing, im afraid i havent got Catacombs availeble atm

skilling up a WC'er is a good idea aswell, if u have the funds/time, sure the first 300-400 points comes "fast" and "cheap", but that wont even cover my lvl 25 char, i think my last WC'er is around 550 WC, and lvl 22 weaps are red i think (not entirely sure on that) ive checked various quest sites (Epics included) i couldnt rly see any h2h rewards, tho i may not have looked hard enough. atm im exping in Vendo dungeon, and weapons arent rly easy to come by, as for going SI etc. i'd have to kill orange+ cons to get even yellow con weapons? the chance of a h2h dropping would be low i imagine, and im not rly seeing orange cons as an option when im still using blue/green con gear.

wasnt bad suggestions tho, and i see them as being viable to the vast majority of players, i guess i just fall inbetween somewhere.

Maybe you could go 2hand instead of hand2hand up to 40.
otherwise for rog h2h weps Si world would probably be better then classic world.

seem to remember that lots of h2h weaps drop around Knarr, golems around the water edge and the drowned skellies closer to the village ..

Yes, drowning victims next to knarr drops h2h weps. They should con yellow or so to a level 25. You can find them on the left side of the road if you walk along the road from knarr.

Been leveling up a savage myself lately and i agree with you that its very hard to find decent stuff below level 45.
