that works with Win7

preferably free :)

anyway, currently have a Hercules Muse LT soundcard, yes its old, no i dont feel like buying a new one just for this.

so whats "this" then... well its the fact that i cant actually open the fugging program to chancge any settings, even with the latest vista driver. it half stalls my PC when i try to open it just chugging away and i cant do anything at all :<

so what i'm looking for is a pure equalizer i can use insted of the one that came with the soundcard. i dont want any MP3/Wav mix shit or other such stuff. i just want a decent equalizer that works with everything, not just MP3's in winamp etc.

it doesent even have to be especially advanced, aslong as i can pump up the bass and fiddle around with trebble and the midranges i'm perfectly happy.

Does it not run under XP mode?

no, or well, it does, but no better then it did earlier.

as in its starting and working as long as i dont try to open it from its place beside the clock.

Normally your best bet is the bios settings. Have a rummage around, see if there's anything that lets you specify your IRQ settings.

nooo, not bios :<

last time i had a "rummage around" in there i ended up having to buy a new motherboard. i'l just use it as is then. i have sound and thats whats most important.

i'm not risking my motherboard over something like this.

So read the manual for your motherboard.
