tribute to victims

Im thinking about joining all the 3 realms in 1 for 5 minutes or so to make a tribute to the victims who died because of the barbarians.

The idea is to go MMG in HW and dont fight (just for a short time, 5 minutes) to show our repulse to this terrorist act and to show our solidarity with the families of the victims.

I dont know how many of u will come but 1 thing is sure: Sigilo will be there and wont figth.

All who wants to come with me is welcomed and the tribute will be on Sunday 14 March - 23.00 CET

Doing this in Emain is just asking for trouble. Go to Hadrian's Wall and hold the event there instead of opening yourself to grief by holding it in the most RvR-active zone in the game.

The fact is to stop the RvR action for 5 minutes. It is not a big effort for all of us to show some respect for 5 minutes.

I know not all daoc players read these boards but the ones who do it can give a tell to the ones who dont, i mean u (belomar) as co-gm of shadowlords can say in /gu to your guildies about this event.

The same for all guilds in Albion/Hibernia/Midgard. I saw many times before the same things and the acts were done in emain (ie twin towers of new york)

If they kill me in emain, ok. I wont flame no one, but i will do my tribute there.

I'd have to agree with Belo here, you might as well stand naked outside Svasud Faste with a 'Pwn me' sign hanging from your ass. Don't get me wrong, i'm just as - if not more appauled by what happened.

However - Games are an escape from reality, not everyone is going to share your views either. Be smart, go to Hadrians. In Emain your likly to get ganked by some realm/guild/mob which will start off huge whine threads with various people telling X their immoral bastards and X telling people to get a life and so on. Hardly fitting tribute to those who died imo.

you're all wrong...I don't know for how long you'be been playing but maybe the older players might remember when TD held a memorial for our friend All three realms were present, as u can see in those pics, so I think it can be done again, well, maybe ppl have become too childish for such things, who knows, but I think it's worth a try doing it in emain

Yes, I have played this game a long time, and yes, I remember the Emain gathering -- but I also remember the torrent of flames for when Mids broke up the party (at least from what I recall). In my opinion, it is a wise choice to do this in HW, and hope that people can show up, pay their respects, and then quietly sneak off. The chances are still great that this will turn into a zergfest or a lot of dueling.

Dac comunity is not anymore like it was the first year, people became selfish and unfriendly in a big percentage, the other memorials were something special for me, don´´t think this one would be since Daoc comunity have changed too much....

Apart from that i´m spanish, born in Madrid, and what happened is too sad and serious for me, maybe going to HW means something for someone, maybe it would be ok for me if that what happened in another country, well dunno why but seems senseless for me....
